Sailors Gathering event 2023: Do you want to meet with fellow sailors and boaters?
We are excited to invite the sailing and boating community friends at This is a free event open to everyone, sailors, boaters, family and friends. have fun, play pool and chat with other boaters. A great way to expand your network and to share your stories with new friends.

Why join the Sailors Gathering Event?
“If you love boating and hail from anywhere between Boston and Block Island, come join the second winter only event of this small group of sailors, craving the social aspect of race weeks and yacht club-style fun,” said Coboaters founder Phil Perut. “This is a free event, and a great way to meet crew and skippers and to see how you can join a community of enthusiastic boaters. Free membership to Coboaters will be offered if you are not yet a member.”
If you are a boat owner, you will be able to meet with crew and discuss your sailing program for this year. If you are a sailor without boat, you can meet with boat owners and hopefully find opportunities. And you can play pool while having a drink and enjoy dinner.

“Rhode Island Billiard, Bar & Bistro is the venue, and they’re donating the space and all the necessary pool tables to make this a fun event for all that attend,” Perut continued. “There are two full bars, and they specialize in beer with 108 brews available. All sailors age 21 and up are welcome. The room is large enough, but we are limited to the first 100 signups.”
“You don’t have to like to play pool to stop by, just love sailing! Bring your business card for the door prizes. If you work in the marine industry, this could be a great time to come out and prepare for your season. If you are in the industry and want to donate a door prize, that’s even better!”

This kind of club is sometimes called crewfinder and sometimes crewseekers club. Coboaters like sailing together they co-boat together! It means that they share time on the water and want to share their experiences and fun for racing, cruising , offshore passage or for a simple afternoon or day sail. We welcome everyone, experienced and beginners and any type of boat: monohulls, catamarans, dayboat or advanced and sophisticated racer-cruisers.
